For example, the rivets are easy to loose resulting in the serious deformation of the cylinder. In addition, the local refractory bricks are easy to fall off. With the industrial development of welding technology, the quality of welding has been able to be ensured. As a result, the overall structure composition of the cylinder is entirely replaced by the welding process rather that riveting process.
The operation temperature of the rotary kiln is very high. In order to protect the cylinder and reduce the heating loss, the firebricks or other refractory insulation materials are lined in the kiln. In order to prevent the downslide of the masonry due to the tilt of the kiln, there is a brick retaining group at intervals of the masonry. The brick retaining groups can be in the following locations: the interface between the brick kilns brick and the cooling, the interface of different thickness brick and the masonry insulation tiles segment.
There are kiln entrance measures besides the brick retaining groups. The purpose is to help the wet materials enter the kiln. There is wind retaining group at the feed end of the kiln to prevent the material in the kiln from rewinding the kiln inlet cover. The diameter of the annular inner hole should not be too small to prevent the too high airflow velocity. The fine particles will be taken away. With the development of industrial technology and processing capabilities, the cylinder may also have other changes.
